Extingushing Tests
Lithium battery test
The lithium batteries are ignited with an open flame. 
Once the batteries are burning on their own, Extover® is applied. 
The fire is extinguished by covering it entirly with Extover®. 
The granulate is carefully removed. 
The lithium battery fire was successfully extinguished as well.
Sodium fire test
Ignition of the sodium 
After some time the metal liquefies an begins to burn (1000 °C). 
Start of the extinguishing process, Extover® is applied to the fire. 
The fire is extinguished by covering it entirly with Extover®. 
Opening the fire source after 10 minutes confirms that the fire is extinguished!
Magnesium fire test
Complete coverage of the fire with Extover® 
The magnesium is burning. 
Ignition of the magnesium using a gas torch. 
Removal of the Extover®layer for inspection. 
The magnesium fire was successfully extinguished.
Magnesium flares fire test (bengal fire)
Extover® used as fire protection filling in a portable special container. 
The magnesium flares are simply put into the granules. 
Extover® ensures a controlled combustion of the fire. 
A dense cocoon of molten glass forms around the flame.
